1+1 Introduction

image

To encourage and to help those with master degrees in their further pursuit of theological degrees quickly we design this "1 +1 Program." This is a combination of Th M and D Min programs, so that the candidates can finish both in a shorter time while they are still involved in ministry.

Because of the bi-vocational lifestyle, we design the course with flexibility; the students can choose to take these courses on campus or by request, take them at a site of convenience with 5 or more students. Most are intensive courses and offered in the evenings and weekends.

To participate in this program, the students must be highly motivated and disciplined, an interview and strong recommendation letters are required for each applicant.

There are 8 ministry courses and 7 theological courses required for graduation, 5 credit hours each (75 credit hours in total). In addition, there will be two quality theses, one for Th M (6 credits), one for D Min (9 credits); this will bring up the total credit hours to 90. The theses will be evaluated and accepted with ordinary and normal academic procedures. Student will be conferred with proper degrees with all requirements satisfied. The tuitions are stipulated in our website; those who need financial assistance can apply for it, and scholarships are awarded to students with excellent academic and ministry performances. The ordinary time for this program is 3 years, but can be adapted with individual plans; students should submit their plans for approval.

Interpretation of this program is the responsibility and privilege of IBS administration.
